North Carolina surprises Duke on Senior Night
- Look out, Tobacco Road.
There's a new shade of blue with its sights set on an ACC tournament title and a deep run in the NCAA tournament.
Thirteenth-ranked North Carolina took an 11-point second-half lead, then held off a rally by top-ranked Duke on Saturday night. Freshman center Tyler Hansbrough scored 27 points to lead North Carolina to an 83-76 victory at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
"It's obvious now, beating the No.1 team in the country in their house," said North Carolina freshman guard Marcus Ginyard. "This whole year, we've wanted to prove ourselves as a team that could play at the highest level. This is North Carolina basketball. North Carolina basketball is not going (away).

Hey Rell, it's me Chance (chancellorfiles.com) REll. I use to love basketball, I really did and every since I left High school my love of the game has gotten ghost (disappeared).
For me it is not the same colege basketball seems to be at times for some people more interesting than the NBA. But I guess it is a sign of the times and that is people want to see better competition in the NBA, college has good competition.
I hope the NBA moves in that direction and pick up the next Michael jordan, Magic, Larry bird, etc. Because one of the things that make a sport so good is something called worthy rival.
And their just are not that many good rivalries out there. Like it was when you had Larry Bird and magic Johnson (Lakkers and celtics).
I hope things get better for the NBA, college ball is doing swell with competative rivalries.
The are just my thoughts on the Ball game.
Peace, Rell

i was text messaging all of my friends last night to find out if anyone had seen the game and could tell me the score (i was out and about). i didn't find out until i got to a bar at about 1 a.m. and my heart skipped a beat as i looked up to one of the televisions to check the score.
when it flashed that unc had won, i was screaming at the top of my lungs and jumping up and down like a nut. i ended up smacking a guy in the shoulder with one of my elbows and i didn't care cuz unc had won.
GO TARHEELS!
